Alle Zeiten in MET

A collaboration between ifa Galerie Stuttgart & Fachklasse for Performative Praxis & MFA KTPP, ABK Stuttgart.

In this encounter we will practice movement improvisation exercises in/with the exhibition “Survival Kit”, currently at ifa Gallery. The exhibition focuses on the pioneers of Senegalese modernism. As a living and evolving methodology, “Survival Kit” is not only an exhibition, but also a curatorial tool that promotes collaboration and transdisciplinary exchange.

Ken Aïcha Sy (Dakar), curator of the project, brings together pieces of art and documents while allowing the voids and gaps of the scattered Senegalese archives to resonate in the space, highlighting the historical and emotional materiality of the locked/unlocked documents or the immaterial acts that nourished them.

Over three encounters, we shall explore the distance between these archival documents and the subterranean force of artistic legacies—always alive and always in motion. We – in embodied interaction - as witness of our own attempt; trying to engage and understand: moving in space, reading and dialoguing with Survival Kit and Ken Aïcha Sy.
